At SouthWest Laser and Medspa, we use a combination of two technologies in our hair removal series of treatments, ensuring you the best possible results. Using laser and light in an alternating pattern of treatments enables us to achieve optimum results. If a client were to prefer or require light or laser alone, we can accommodate those needs as well. Additionally, we are able to treat all skin types as well as sun-damaged skin safely and effectively. We are one of the few facilities that can offer combined technology for effective hair removal with our state-of-the- art Sciton™ Laser.

How does it work?
The light and laser target the melanin in the hair follicle and eradicate it with heat and light.
How many treatments will I need?
Every person is different, optimal results can take up to a year, depending on the area treated and your hair and skin type. On average, 6-8 treatments are needed at 6 week intervals. There are 3 phases of hair growth – anagen, catagen, and telogen. Only hairs in the active growth phase, anagen, can be successfully treated. Since only 20% or so of hairs are in the anagen phase at any one time, successive treatments are needed.
Is this a permanent treatment?
Nobody can guarantee permanent total hair removal by any method. Be leery of anyone promising permanent hair removal. Be assured that at SouthWest Laser and Medspa, we will be honest in your complimentary consultation and tell you exactly what you can expect. We can promise permanent hair reduction and we do have great success with our methods. Our overall goal at SouthWest Laser and MedSpa is to make sure you are happy with your results. Our hair removal packages were created in a way to give you the best results possible using the latest technology. Also, our packages include one year of maintenance.
Will it be uncomfortable?
Our BBL and Sciton Laser are the most comfortable hair removal treatments available today. The Sciton's special cooling system ensures a comfortable treatment. However, since sensation varies from client to client, a topical anesthetic can be provided if desired.
